This is mostly just a placeholder for my thoughts -- I'm trying different LAS's out and want a place to put them while their still fresh. P.S. the AMPs on WildstarBase are really outdated. I just went by current placement on those.
5man/Solo: I like this for all-around, non-raid content. Energy Auger is an easy builder for dungeons, where there's often not a lot of room roll around. (i.e. Bev-O-Rage) T8 Mortar Strike does tons of damage, but sadly the lack of Bioshell makes it selfish, and not raid-viable without other buff-bitch Engineers.
So for raids I figure you need two separate-speced Engineers to optimize complete buff coverage. One to bring T7 Bioshell for the 14% tech resist debuff, and the other the T8 Bioshell 15% armor debuff + the Exploit Weakness AMP.
Raid Specs
Electrocute Spec: I found the generic spec too difficult to keep from maxing volatility, so I slotted in T0 Mortar Strike to help spend. This spec can also bring a 4% higher crit Volatile Injection (11 points/14%) than the Bolt Caster Spec (only 3% more ((3 points/10%)) if 3IA is needed).
Bolt Caster Spec: Brings the Exploit Weakness AMP; also does the most single target damage, but requires a lot of rolling. The lack of any useful generic ability forces me to use stinky Diminisher Bot AND put 2 points in it. I tired slotting in Unstable Anomaly for giggles, but the GCD on it wreaks the rotation.
The only AMP difference in specs is the swapping of Unstable Volatility in the Electrocute spec for Exploit Weakness in the Bolt Caster spec. The BC spec can keep the Exploit Weakness AMP up 100% of the time while the Unstable Anomaly AMP works nicer with Electrocute's tick damage.
