Greetings all. Here's a quick breakdown of our Veteran Kel'Voreth:
For this run in order to achieve silver, you will need:
1) complete the run in 40 minutes
2) complete all optionals
For gold, same requirements as silver but also no deaths and complete all challenges.
completing all optionals but not making the time limit gets you bronze.
The vid is broken down into 3 parts:
Part 1 covers Grond the Corpse maker;
Part 2 covers Slavemaster
Part 3 covers Foregmaster
Mobs here unlike stormtalon, can have 4 to 1 interrupt armor on them.
As with Stormtalon you want 7-8 interrupts(shield removals) in your group. I would say in terms of wiping forgiveness KV definitely has you covered there because you have 40 minutes as opposed to 30 for STL, and as you can see group did experience one wipe and still made silver for KV.
Grond is fairly simple, typically always a one shot. Interrupt his thrash as often as you can, kite fleas into the open bone traps and save an evade roll for his charged headbutt/tackle to you can get out of that fast when it knocks you down.
As an aside @ 3:58 don't void slip will cause all the ticks on you to run to your tank and subsequently explode lol. Fights finished with kiting.
@ 7:00 we actually get one of the longer optionals for KV and still get silver on it, with even some sloppy kills lol, so its manageable its really all about where you cut corners on this one and moments of opportunity and proper pulls.
@ 8:00 the area is really big so you can skip a lot of this. If you had to collect the eldan relcis like we did here, you can skip around and avoid many mob packs, if you get the other more preferred kill the mini boss that blinds, you can immediately hold to the left after Grond and skip everything up to her and go right to Slavemaster. In this run we had eldan relics and free the slaves this one is going to slow you down because you have to hunt relics which are usually always in the corners and subsequently the slaves you need for the lower area are there too, so it works out. Additionally, there are more relics than you actually need for the optional, keep this in mind when deciding which relics to go for.
Next vid will show the pull for slavemaster -
@00:45 Wily is changing the LAS. For this its nice to have breakouts because he will constantly tether throughout all the phases after the first phase, not to mention bombs.
Also note for engineers, miasma tier 8 is great here, because it can slow a group of the speeding tracker bots considerably, our laser snare and the snare from the bots for some reason are not nearly as effective on slowing those things down. Not only that diminishing bots tier 8 does not pull them into the center of the snare aoe as it should.
@2:12 here come the tracker bots and everyone is snaring and stunning while whoever they are after runs. They are fast but miasma and some proper snares will buy some time. The player tracked will also need a considerable amount of heals.
@3:07 as soon as the boss comes back he tethers Moravos, so again break outs will be helpful here given that tethers are always coming out.
@3:48 this is what you want to interrupt on the boss if you want to burn him quickly as his phases are loaded with telegraphs he himself is not that damaging. The ability is called SUPPRESSION WAVE, and he has 2 armor when he does it, but its a very fast cast. If it can't be interrupted run away from him and out range its telegraph or evade roll into its progression when possible to avoid damage.
@4:15 he will bring out more tracking bots, follow the same procedure as before.
@6:55 we're headed for the final boss. Generally the optional up here tend to be the same or relatively unchanged, all the paths seem to take the same length of time as well, so its just about splitting up collecting and pulling effectively, you can skip a lot of these mobs.
@12:15 for darkwitches the ability you want to interrupt is RUPTURE, do this and they are exceedingly easy. Note though that they also put out a dot whenever they stomp their staff that is pretty damaging but it can be cleansed
In this next vid Forgemaster is up:
@2:15 Defensive Matrix is set up instead of the Bruiser Bot. Bruiser bot trolls here a lot and is not even that necessary really, having him offtank the stronger hits is unnecessary as the aoe from the forgemaster's hammer for that kind of attack is already damaging. Defensive matrix is deployed a lot in the final phase and whenever he has orbs as the group should be close together.
@5:50 Is our kill, our previous pull results in a wipe, watch out during the disc phase and the fire that falls down from the sky in that phase as well.
@6:19 he stays on the platform and can take damage just watch out for telegraphs.
@6:36 he descednds, and we set up our interrupt rotation he has 4 armor, the melee tank included go first and the slingers go second to interrupt his hammer ability VOLCANIC STRIKE! Interrupting this also means that when he has orbs he cannot use the increased damage of that orb for this ability, he will expend an orb per hit though hence why we are positioned how we are.
@ 7:05 orbs come in head to designated areas, split up and each take a side, Rosh, our stalker took the area behind him.
@7:38 Disc phase commences: get to the door camera to floor and watch the pattern.
@8:02 he comes down, and his threat will reset
@8:28 He will do disc and orbs, try to always have him center and anticipate this phase as the disc are always in a pattern and come out last, so sprinting a head of the disc you can collect the orbs well before they become an issue.
39:05 in we have our silver kill.
